Assam MBBS Counseling 2020: Directorate of Medical Education, Assam Assam will release the list of eligible candidates for MBBS / BDS Counseling 2020. This admission is for 85% of the state quota seats offered in medical and dental colleges in the state.

 Counseling for the remaining 15% all India quota seats will be conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee ie MCC. The Assam MBBS 2020 seat allocation list will mention eligible candidates who have appeared for the counseling process. Assam MBBS Counseling 2020 will be conducted in offline mode and was open to students who have NEET qualification.

Assam 2020 MBBS Counseling Process

Assam MBBS Counseling 2020 will be conducted in offline mode with two rounds.

Students must be NEET 2020 qualified to be part of Assam MBBS Counseling.

A merit list will be published by DME, Assam in which the names of the selected candidates will be based on their NEET 2020 score. Only candidates with their names on the list will be eligible for the counseling process.

Eligible candidates are required to fill and submit Assam MBBS application form before 2020, which is in the third week of June.

Assam MBBS Seat Matrix

After the counseling process is completed, the eligible students will be admitted to about 900 MBBS and 40 BDS seats in six medical and one dental colleges in the state.

Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Quota

A new category ie EWS category has been introduced which is completely for general candidates. Candidates claiming for EWS quota seats are advised to properly sign Annexure-XI fully filled by the concerned Circle Officer at the time of counseling. For EWS category candidates can have a look at last year's income and property certificate

Eligibility Criteria Assam NEET 2020

The candidate should be a citizen of Assam State.

The candidate's parents must have lived in Assam for more than 20 years.

The condition of domicile does not apply to the son / daughter of officers of All India Services working in Assam.

The candidate should have passed 12th with 60% marks in 12th standard and minimum 50% is required for reserved category candidates.

The candidate should be studying from 6th to 10th grade in the state of Assam.

The candidate must have appeared and applied in NEET 2020.

The age of the candidate should be between 17 to 24 years old by 31 December 2020.

SC / ST candidates have age relaxation of 3 years.

Application form for Assam NEET MBBS / BDS 2020

• Go to the site dmeassam.gov.in.
• Click on the link "MBBS / BDS Counseling 2020".
• The candidates have to read all the instructions carefully.
• Click "Apply Now".
• Then enter data such as personal, educational, address and others.
• Candidates will have to upload a scanned image of the photograph and signature.
• Check all the details and submit the application form.
• Take a printout of the application form and e-challan for depositing the required fee in any branch of State Bank of India.

Counseling process for Assam NEET MBBS / BDS 2020

• Assam NEET MBBS / BDS Counseling will be conducted in offline mode at the counseling centers.
• Candidates are required to fill the application form for the counseling process.
• Consultancy fee Rs. 500, the candidates have to pay the fee.
• At the time of counseling, candidates are advised to appear before the Admissions Committee along with all necessary documents.
• As per the merit list and order of preference, a seat will be allotted to the candidate.

The candidates have to bring the Form-B in original and fill all the relevant attachment certificates attached to the Form-B properly.

Assam MBBS Seat Allotment 2020

The allocation of seats will be based on the merit rank of the candidate state list. There will be two rounds in counseling and the result of each round will be published on the official website. Assam MBBS 2020 seat allocation results will include details such as candidate's name, roll number, state merit rank as well as the name of the allotted institution. In such a situation, when a candidate is unable to appear at the counseling venue on the scheduled day, then his allotted seat will be withdrawn.
