Selection and Admission Procedure for Himachal Pradesh NEET Counseling 2020

To get admission in MBBS / BDS courses, candidates have to fill the application form for counseling 2020.

Allotment of seats will be done on the basis of merit-cum-choice of the candidates.

On the day of counseling, the candidate has to appear for counseling.

Candidates who successfully complete and submit the application form will be eligible to participate in the counseling process.

Candidates have to report to the counseling center on the specified date and time.

Call letters will not be sent to candidates to participate in counseling.

The final seat will be allotted after verification of documents and options filled by the candidates.

The selected candidates will be provided with the admit card along with the admit card which can be downloaded from the university website on the next day of counseling.

Candidates with the admit card will have to report to the college allotted for admission.

If the candidate fails to follow any step or if their documents are found to be wrong then their admission will be canceled.

Reservation criteria

Reservation in Himachal Pradesh Government Medical College will be applicable as per state and central government rules. Candidates have to apply under reserved category only if they have valid documents.

Application fee:

As per the previous year's information, the application fee is Rs.2000 / - for students of General / NRI and other categories, while the application fee is Rs.1000 / - for students of SC / ST / PH categories. The application fee has to be paid during registration as registration is incomplete without the fee paid. The application fee is non-refundable in any case.

Himachal Pradesh MBBS / BDS Admission 2020 Eligibility Criteria

It is mandatory that the candidates ensure that they meet all the eligibility criteria set by the Admissions Authority to ensure that they are not disqualified from the process. Candidates who have qualified NEET-UG-2020 will be eligible to apply online for admission to MBBS / BDS courses through Centralized Counseling in Government Medical / Dental Colleges, including privately in Himachal Pradesh Medical / Dental College. Aided state seats are included. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below.

Higher / Senior Secondary Examination or Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10 + 2, Higher / Senior Secondary Examination, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology after a period of 12 years (which may include practical tests in these subjects ) 

And then introduce 10 + 2 + 3 educational structure as per the level set by National Council of Educational Research and Training, Mathematics or any NY no less than the main course for English with an optional subject. As recommended by the National Education Committee.

As a private candidate, candidates who have passed 10 + 2 from the Open School will not be eligible for admission. In addition, study of biology / biotechnology as an additional subject at 10 + 2 level will also not be acceptable.

Age Criteria:

He has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or must have completed his age on or before 31 December of admission to MBBS / BDS course in the first year.

For SC / ST / OBC category candidates, the exam age and upper age limit, the upper age limit for eligibility for reservation under the Americans with Disabilities Act, 2016, is 25 years.

The University will prepare and notify a combined as well as category-wise merit list based on the All India Merit Ranking of NEET-UG-2020 of eligible candidates who have completed their application forms online in all respects.
