Meghalaya MBBS BDS Admission Through NEET 2020– Applications are invited in the prescribed form for Medical Studies i.e. MBBS/ BDS/ BHMS/ BAMS/ BASLP against State Quota of seats in various Medical Institutions for academic session 2020-21. North East Indira Gandhi Regional Institutes of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) releases a notification for admission in MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS and BASLP against state quota for the academic year 2020-21. Candidates who have appeared in National Eligibility Entrance Test and wish to get admission in state seats must submit the application form as per schedule. Authorities will make use of state merit list and preferences of applicants to allot seats. Requisite Meghalaya MBBS/BDS Admission 2020 fee has to be paid at the time of admission.

Meghalaya MBBS/BDS admission – Eligibility criteria
Candidates are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for Meghalaya NEET admission 2020. This criteria is decided by the admission conducting authorities and the same has been mentioned below.
- The medical aspirant must be resident (Permanent/Domicile) of one of the 8 North-Eastern states of India including Sikkim for Meghalaya MBBS 2020 admission
- In the preceding two years the candidates must have studied and completed their course from the schools located in India for admission to Meghalaya MBBS
- Basic NEET eligibility criteria 2020 must be fulfilled by the aspiring candidates
- It is mandatory that candidates qualify NEET 2020 by securing the minimum qualifying percentile as mentioned in the table below Counselling Guidance

Meghalaya MBBS counselling 2020
NEIGRIHMS is the authority responsible for conducting counselling for admission to the medical and dental colleges of the state. The first round of Meghalaya MBBS 2020 counselling will be conducted in the fourth week of July, in offline mode. Eligible candidates will have to report in-person at the NEIGRIHMS campus for counselling of Meghalaya MBBS. Medical aspirants will also be required to furnish original documents and their self-attested copies along with their passport size photographs to the counselling centre for Meghalaya MBBS admission 2020. The authorities will release a list of candidates selected for counselling and those in the waitlist, prior to the conduction of first round of Meghalaya MBBS 2020 counselling. In the situation where seats remain vacant for admission to Meghalaya MBBS, the authorities will conduct another round of counselling for waitlist students.

Educational Qualifications
- Candidates must be indigenous inhabitants or permanent residents of state and have passed 10+2 from a recognized university, board of authority in subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, English.
- Also, the candidate should have qualified NEET 2020.
However, and subject to production of a permanent resident certificate,
- The children of employees of Central Government, other state/UT government who are on deputation to Meghalaya, and
- The children of employees of Central Government, All India Services, other state/UT government posted in and having headquarter within Meghalaya will also be eligible to apply, provided (1 and 2) is fulfilled above.
Age limit
Minimum 17 years and Maximum 25 years as on 31 December of the year of admission. Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC / ST / OBC.
Meghalaya MBBS BDS Admission 2020 Registration Counselling Guidance
NEIGRIHMS invites applications against state quota seats in medical institutions. Application Form may be obtained from the office of the Director of Health Services (MI), Meghalaya. Candidates must note that after submission of the Application Form it cannot be withdrawn. Claims for refund of application fee will not be entertained. Application Form without NEET 2020 Result Sheet will not be considered under any circumstances including postal delay.
Application Fee-
Candidates need to submit a Demand Draft (Nationalised Bank ) of Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two hundred and Fifty) only and Rs. 100/- (Rupees One hundred) only in the case of ST/SC payable to the Director of Health Services (MI), Meghalaya, Shillong. (As per previous year information)

Meghalaya MBBS BDS Admission 2020 Counselling
The counselling for Meghalaya MBBS/BDS 2020 Admission will be conducted by NEIGRIHMS. Usually there are only one round of counselling. Caniddates need to bring the original documents at the time of counselling on the venue. An additional round of counselling may be conducted if in any cases seats are left vacant. The waiting list will release on the website. Based on the preferences given, the seat will be allotted on merit and the allotment will be displayed on the website. The candidates who will be successfully allotted a seat will have to report at the allotted college along with the relevant documents as per the schedule. Candidates who have successfully secured name in the merit list will be able to fill the choices of the courses and respective colleges during the counselling process.
Meghalaya MBBS BDS Admission 2020 Merit List
The merit list for Meghalaya MBBS/BDS Admission 2020 releases on the official website. It is based on the NEET 2020 scores obtained by the candidates. The candidates who will not qualify in NEET will not be considered. All the candidates whose names have been included in the state merit list are eligible to attend the counselling for Meghalaya MBBS 2020 admission. Admission to Undergraduate Course will be on the basis of your NEET score. For 15% All India quota seats, the counselling will be administered by exam conducting body for the rest of the seats, counselling will be carried out by the state colleges respectively. For counselling, candidates will have to provide the documents for verification and reserve their seats. Seat Allotment for Meghalaya MBBS BDS Admission 2020
Applicants whose names includes in the list selected for the nomination and published as above are required to report to the Under Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Health & Family Welfare Department within the date and time to be indicated while publishing the list of selected candidates and personally submit their letter of acceptance. Any selected applicant, who fails to report according to the fixed date as specified above, will automatically lose his or her right to the nomination and the next eligible candidate from the waiting list will be nominated. Terms and conditions for admission and all other requirements including recurring fees of the concerned medical institution to which the applicant is nominated will have to be abided and paid by the applicant concerned in time and responsibility on this count shall rest with the candidate.

Meghalaya MBBS admission 2020 – Bond details
Those candidates who are desirous of Meghalaya MBBS 2020 admission and have secured a seat for themselves by following the procedure mentioned above will have to execute a bond on a stamp paper when taking admission. This bond will clearly state that if the candidate leaves the course before its due completion, for whatever reason, he/she will have to deposit/pay a bond money of ₹ 10,000,00/- Counselling Guidance
